THE CLIENT
Alliance Graphics and Printing is a commercial printer located in Houston, Texas. For over 20 years, Alliance Graphics and Printing has been providing commercial print services such as 5-color to 1-color printing, brochures, pocket folders, and direct mail. With an annual revenue of about $24 million, 110 employees, and growing, Alliance Graphics and Printing is an established and premier solution in the printing industry.
THE PROBLEM
The business for Alliance Graphics and Printing had been incredibly stable for decades, however, most business had been accomplished by direct sales and referrals. As a growth strategy, Alliance Graphics realized the limited potential of substantial growth due to the unpredictability of referrals and the potential turnover of the sales force.
The decision was made internally to invest in digital marketing, specifically, Search Engine Optimization, to help drive additional leads and opportunities.
THE STRATEGY
Illumination Marketing came in and set up a two-step plan to implement a proper digital marketing program for Alliance Graphics and Printing.
The first step of the plan was to redesign the website in order to put it in a position to be able to rank for keywords, capture opportunities for leads, and boost the brand value by refreshing the corporate image.
The second stage of the plan was to begin implementing SEO best practices including active on-page SEO, off-site link building, creating written content in the form of blogs to help engage site visitors using the E•E•A•T principle, and optimizing for Local SEO.
THE RESULTS
The results in the first 6 months were astounding. The website redesign was acclaimed by internal staff and current clientele. Additionally, website metrics immediately improved upon launch including Users, Time on Site, and Leads!
For phase two, we saw keywords that the website ranked for increased dramatically from 46 upon beginning the program to 422 only 6 months later. Website traffic increased from 372 users/month to a peak of 1,638/month within 3 months. Goals increased from 0 leads per month to a peak of 19 leads.
